This 'Cheat Sheet', lists all of our handcrafted natural vegetable based handmade soaps with all of the added natural herbs and pure natural essential oils along with some of the properties that they are reputed to have. Many of these natural ingredients have a very long list of characteristics and herbal uses. For a more comprehensive and complete list of all of the characteristics and their natural and holistic herbal uses, we recommend further research through the many books and Internet resources available about natural herbs and pure natural essential oils. Since we produce pure natural handcrafted, handmade vegetable based soaps only, and are not a pharmaceutical or a cosmetic company, we cannot make claims as to any benefits that these natural Ingredients may or may not give to the users of our handcrafted natural vegetable based handmade soaps. 

Sweet Honey Basil

 

Sweet Basil pure essential oil and herb; Basil is an herb in the Mint family that is said to be helpful to stimulate, clarify, and uplift the mind, also soothing for headaches; Reputed to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pain reliever and antibacterial. Has been used in topical skin care creams to nourish, balance, calm, improve hydration, repair damaged skin, cleanses scalp and promotes healthy hair growth. Also is known as a natural insect repellent. 

Honey; lays down a clear, protective film that helps skin maintain moisture. Hydrates and soothes the skin and is thought to be slightly antiseptic and bacteriostatic. Used as an emollient in soap. Contains large quantities of enzymes; a hormone; carbohydrates; B-complex vitamins; vitamins C, D, and E; and some minerals.

Avocado oil; contains protein, amino acids, and a relatively large amounts of vitamins A, D, and E. Moisturizing, but also healing, enabling regeneration of cells, soften body tissue, and heal scaly skin and scalp.

Calendula Sunshine

Calendula herb; Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, useful for minor injuries, pain-killing agent for minor topical infection, and irritation. Helps injured skin to rejuvenate. Used in creams to prevent damage from drying, insect bites, sunburn and even baby rash.

Avocado oil; contains protein, amino acids, and a relatively large amounts of vitamins A, D, and E. Moisturizing, but also healing, enabling regeneration of cells, soften body tissue, and heal scaly skin and scalp.

Cassia pure essential oil; Cousin of the cinnamon family.

Palmarosa pure essential oil; Anti-fungal, antiviral, regeneration of the skin, and regulating oil production of the skin. Said to be useful in treating skin infections.

Lemon Tea Tree

Castor Oil; Has many pharmaceutical and industrial uses. Know for over 2000 years as a laxative and purgative, in cases of poisoning to clear digestive tract. Uses include soaps, cosmetics, insecticide, and repellent. Is well tolerated by the skin and has remarkable anti dandruff effects. Also useful in treatment of dermatosis and is a good protective in cases of occupational eczemas and dermatitis.

Lemon pure essential oil; Among its many properties are antacid, anti-neuralgic, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericide, emollient, and insecticide.

Tea Tree pure essential oil; An antibiotic, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericide, fungicide, and insecticide. Strong antiviral and germicidal, useful with minor burns, sores, sunburn, ringworm, warts and athletes foot.

Lemongrass essential oil; A tonic, digestive and vasodilator with anti-inflammatory and sedative properties, said to stimulate the mind and lifts the spirit. Also relieves fatigue, aching muscles, and relieves tired legs.

Patchouli pure essential oil; An antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, deodorant, fungicide, and insecticide. Used in many anti-wrinkle products, relieves effects from insect bites, protects clothes from moths. Known as a tissue regenerator which helps stimulate re-growth of skin cells, and the forming of scar tissue. Heals rough, cracked skin, useful for treating acne, eczema, fungal infections and scalp disorders including dandruff.

Ground Coffee; Used in soap to exfoliate, for it's color and aroma. In folklore, coffee grounds were used to remove cooking smells such as onions and fish from hands.

Maple Syrup; Minerals, vitamins B2, B5, and B6, and trace amounts of amino acids. Used in soap for it's color, may have humectant properties.

Pennyroyal herb; Member of the mint family, very strong insect repellent against such pests as fleas, lice, ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes and gnats.

Cedar essential oil; Sweet and woody, sometimes reminiscent of sandalwood. Calms nervous tension, and relieves anxiety. It's an expectorant, dries phlegm, and deters moths and other insects.
